Oscar Wilde is an unforgettable name in English

Fingal O’Flahati Wills Wild. He later changed his ancestral name to Oscar Wilde, omitting the middle three words.

Oscar Wilde Early Life
Oscar
Wilde was born on October sixteen, 1854, in Dublin, Ireland. Hereditarily the
Wilders were Dutch. In the seventeenth century, one of their ancestors left
Holland and settled in Ireland. Oscar's father, William
Wilde, was an ophthalmologist. He
gained worldwide fame for inventing cataract surgery.
The method he invented is still followed. Although an ophthalmologist by
profession; his father William Wilde was also interested in writing literature.
He also wrote books on archeology,
folklore. Oscar's literary talent was inherited from his father. His mother,
Jane Francesca Elgio, was a writer. He wrote essays and
poems under the pseudonym Speranza. Through these writings, he promoted
nationalism and tried to inspire the people to freedom. He was intelligent and
kind but quite whimsical. This weakness of nature of his mother's influenced
Oscar Wilde very much. In later life, Oscar has been embarrassed by explosive
remarks many times.

He was never interested in rigorous studies. He
later expressed strong views on the traditional education system, "We
learn how to remember everything, but we don't teach how to grow up in
schools.”However, at the time of studying in school, he began to explore the
realm of imagination in ancient Greek, Latin, art literature, and spirituality.
As a result, at a young age, he acquired vast knowledge.

Fan (1892), Woman of No Importance (1893), An Ideal Husband (1895), and Importance of Being Ernest (1895) The Duchess of Padua (1891) followed. Many plays have
been performed successfully at the St. James's Theater. Oscar was praised. He
became known as a man of wonderful talent. Thus the poor child of an Irish
knight reached the pinnacle of fame.
Life Tragedy
After that, the tragedy of Oscar's life-drama began. Oscar was overwhelmed by the monotony of family life. His illicit affair began in 1891 with the young poet Lord Alfed Douglas. In 1895 a lawsuit was filed in court alleging homosexuality. Oscar was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment. Out of prison Oscar painted a picture of his prison torment with his greatest poem, “The Ballad of Reading Prison”.
A new life was waiting for him outside the jail. All
properties were declared bankrupt, and relations with his wife and children were
severed. Even in the midst of extreme hardship and financial crisis, Oscar's companions were his habit of intelligent speech, humor, and whimsical controversial speech.
Finally, at the age of fourty eight, his life came to an
end at the Oscars on November 30, 1900, in a Paris hotel. Oscar Wilde is buried
in a cemetery in Paris.
